Maxar is excited to announce the formation of the Maxar Better World Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to support organizations that improve the lives of individuals, embrace their diversity and provide them with tools and opportunities to thrive. It is especially focused on:

  • Advancing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education for underserved and diverse populations
  • Helping veterans and active-duty military and their families
  • Supporting global natural disaster preparedness and relief

The Foundation is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. Additionally, the Board appointed a nongoverning Advisory Committee composed of 12 Maxar employees to provide guidance and perspective regarding the Foundation and its activities. These 12 individuals were selected for their interest, acumen and insight in corporate social responsibility, and to reflect our company’s diversity, including geography, function, job level, tenure, race, age and gender.
