Arlington Magazine has named Maxar to its 2022 Best Places to Work list. This marks the second year in a row that Maxar has earned the recognition, which honors the ten best places to work in Arlington, McLean and Falls Church, Virginia.
Honorees are selected based on a two-part process, including an evaluation of each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics, as well as an employee survey measuring the employee experience.
Maxar has approximately 50 full-time on-site and hybrid employees operating out of its Arlington office, including data scientists, software developers, designers and geospatial analysts. These team members support customers across the government, international defense and commercial sectors.
At Maxar, we believe that people are our greatest strength. We are committed to building an inclusive workplace culture that empowers individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences to help build a better world. We offer our team members an industry-leading benefits package, solicit feedback often and actively encourage engagement and collaboration.
Our Arlington office has a free onsite fitness center, complimentary cold brew coffee on tap and a relaxation area with foosball, board games and golf pong. The office also regularly organizes social events to encourage team bonding and to recognize team members for their efforts.
Maxar is deeply committed to diversity, inclusion and belonging. We have seven Employee Resource Groups to support diverse employees and attract new talent. Additionally, Maxar participates in scholarship and internship programs such as the Brooke Owens and Patti Grace Smith Fellowships to help provide more opportunities for diverse talent in the geospatial intelligence and aerospace industries.
Arlington Magazine isn’t the only organization to recognize Maxar’s workplace culture. Maxar has also been recognized by the Tampa Bay Times as one of the Best Workplaces in the Tampa Bay region for the past six years.
