This year, Maxar Technologies deepened our commitment to service by launching our inaugural Maxar Cares Week, which took place April 21-25.
Aligned with Global Volunteer Month and National Volunteer Week in the U.S., Maxar Cares Week was a chance to come together, to give back in meaningful ways and to strengthen our culture of belonging through shared service.
By the Numbers:
16 organized events around the world
750+ volunteer hours logged
110+ no-sew blankets completed and donated
“Maxar’s mission is at the heart of what we do as an organization, in how we serve our customers, within the culture we are evolving and through the Maxar Foundation’s financial contributions to nonprofit organizations,” said Anat Gan Eden, Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our impact extends beyond financial contributions; it’s about showing up for the communities where we live and work.”
Maxar employees gave back in a variety of ways, including building no-sew blankets for Soldiers’ Angels (supporting the “Our Heroes” Maxar Foundation pillar), supporting the build of the Veterans Community Project in Longmont, CO, building 240 care kits for a local homeless shelter in Herndon, VA, and by sorting and bagging close to 16,000 pounds of potatoes in Orlando to be delivered to people in need.
Every act of service, big or small, reflects our mission in action. Thank you to those who participated to make Maxar Cares Week an unforgettable success.
