A rare, multivortex tornado ripped through the area east of News Orleans, Louisiana, on the night of Tuesday, March 22, 2022. One person was killed in Arabi and multiple people were injured. Widespread damage was reported in St. Bernard Parish, where homes were leveled, cars destroyed and power lines downed, leaving thousands without electricity.

In Texas, 10 confirmed and 20 reported tornadoes tore through North Texas, leaving one person dead and injuring at least 10 others. Funnel clouds touching down in Round Rock, Texas, caused heavy damage, including ripping roofs off homes.
