The new WorldView Legion satellites are now sending back fresh, high-resolution satellite imagery on a continuous basis, and Maxar Intelligence is committed to providing our customers with the best possible tools to access that data and do their jobs effectively. The Maxar Geospatial Platform (MGP) Pro gives customers on-demand access to high-quality imagery and geospatial insights from the entire Maxar constellation, empowering them to make informed decisions, drive innovation, and contribute to a sustainable and resilient future.
Accessing the next era in Earth intelligence
MGP Pro is a foundational, cloud-based subscription tool for accessing Maxar’s high-resolution satellite imagery and derived data layers in real-time. As the WorldView Legion satellites become fully operational, we’ll triple our capacity to collect 30 cm-class resolution and 8-band multispectral imagery, allowing us to support a wider range of applications and use cases. Through MGP Pro, our customers will be able to access over 6 million sq km of daily imagery from the Maxar constellation, as well as over 125 PB of archived imagery. From defense and intelligence to living maps for navigation, WorldView Legion satellite imagery will support valuable missions at unmatched speed, quality and scale.
MGP Pro has been upgraded to now offer direct tasking capabilities, allowing subscribers to request satellite imagery collections, further tailoring the service to their unique needs. Customers can set their own collection time window and processing parameters with the MGP Pro user interface or programmatically via MGP application programming interfaces (APIs).
When a collection is made over an area that matches the parameters of the tasking order, MGP Pro will automatically process the imagery with the requested production specifications and deliver the imagery within hours of collection to the customer’s MGP Pro Orders Manager and, if desired, preferred cloud storage location.
Additionally, the platform provides a vast array of foundational content and geospatial tools to support Earth intelligence missions, including Vivid basemaps, Precision3D datasets, monitoring and alerts over areas of interest, change monitoring (electro-optical and synthetic aperture radar), analyst-curated open-source event data, object detections, raster analytics and high-definition image processing. MGP Pro also grants users full API access and plugins for popular geographic information system applications, making it seamless to integrate geospatial intelligence into existing workflows.
